Basic and Advanced powerplate training in Wakefield West Yorkshire

At Theraspace wellbeing we have qualified and advanced level academy trainers in powerplate whole body vibration training. We are one of the few organizations in Yorkshire that can provide advanced level training for wellbeing and performance. We are based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire at Greens Health and Fitness and specialize in all levels of powerplate training.

Skeleton

· Helps increase bone density, and acts against osteoporosis. Decrease of bone density is exponential: (males 50+ females 45+)
· Improved coordination and balance by Proprioception
· No overloading injuries

Muscle
· 100% activation of muscle fibres
· Faster effect than conventional resistance training
· Lengthens and strengthens muscles
· Increases muscular strength
· Makes the muscle pump more effectively

Hormonal

Neural
· Neural adaptation is the first change to occur in WBV training
· Leads to more efficient movement and motor synchronization ( via hyper-stimulation )

Tendon
· Easy to use for warm up and cool down and exercise itself
· Tendons, fascia and connective tissue all manipulated by intermittent stretching: soft tissues have varying absorption thus helping unload adhesions

Joints
· Helps facilitate joint lubrication
· Fluid within the joints is pumped through cartilage with nutrients
· Can therefore help in prevention or recuperation of a cartilage injury

Skin

· Peripheral vasodilatation-widening of blood vessels
