Personal Training.

Theraspace Fitness & Wellbeing is a private gym in Scissett (near Denby Dale), West Yorkshire specialising in bespoke personal training packages for individuals and small groups. Personal training is a fitness approach where you work with a qualified fitness trainer who is dedicated to your own personal fitness plan. Martyn Gregg, owner at Theraspace, has 25 years of experience as a personal trainer.

At Theraspace before we start you on a programme we can do a Kinetic Chain Assessment to establish how your body works and copes with certain exercises. We'll identify any imbalances that could otherwise cause injury and  remedy these within your plan. It's an optional approach, but we do recommend it as the majority of our clients report the benefits of understanding where their imbalances are, and training accordingly.


Whatever your reasons for choosing personal training to improve your health and fitness, we apply the same philosophy. We'll work on your foundations before we build your temple! By teaching you the right approach to your activity, and incorporating everyday movements into your programme, you'll get better results and reduce the risk of injury.

We want you to maintain the benefits of every workout. This means that we'll put emphasis on how you recover from a tough session in the gym, getting you back on form after a gruelling endurance activity and get you ready for your next one. It's a cycle, and we're here to help you manage it! We can also build sports massage into your plan to help speed up recovery.
